FRP desulfurization tower is a kind of equipment for desulfurization treatment of industrial waste gas, and tower equipment is the majority. The large-scale desulfurization device used for flue gas desulfurization of coal-fired power plants is called flue gas desulfurization tower, while the small-scale desulfurization and dust removal device used for flue gas desulfurization of coal-fired industrial boilers and kilns is mostly called desulfurization dust collector.
In the flue gas desulfurization tower, its working principle is to use lye solution to wash the flue gas containing sulfur dioxide (SO2) to chemically absorb the sulfur dioxide in the flue gas. The sulphur dioxide in the flue gas is actually acidic, and the acidic sulphur dioxide is removed from the flue gas by reacting with an appropriate alkaline substance. The alkaline substances commonly used for flue gas desulfurization in flue gas desulfurization towers are limestone, quicklime (calcium oxide) and hydrated lime (calcium hydroxide). Limestone is abundant and therefore relatively inexpensive, and both quicklime and hydrated lime are made from limestone by heating. Other alkaline substances such as sodium carbonate (soda ash), magnesium carbonate and ammonia are also sometimes used. The alkaline substance used reacts with the sulphur dioxide in the flue gas to produce a mixture of sulfites and sulfates (depending on the alkaline used, these salts may be calcium, sodium, magnesium or ammonium).
